I do listen to music once in a while, like when I’m riding my bike on the way to the lab or something. Don’t really have any particular likes or dislikes; don’t completely patronize an individual or group. I listen to anything from English to Hindi, from trance to classiques to rock; it should just ring a bell!
Most of the stuff below is streamed from esnips.com. Certain bandwidth regulations etc. might apply. Streaming is only fun if you have a broadband connection, dial-up users might not be able to enjoy decent playback, if at all it does play. Some files are hosted on an alternate hosting site; those links wont bring up a player, instead a save file box will appear! And for all you know, some day I will dump esnips completely; till then use the tip at the end of the page to download music from esnips.
Stuff that I'm listening to:
- Aey Meray Humnashin: A beautiful song of Pakistani origin, I guess, but beyond that I have no clues about the artist(s) etc.
- Butterfly: Its like butterflies in my head!
- Jashn-e-Bahara: What is one mans love, is what others call madness. But if it ain't madness, it ain't love. Beautiful music, with beautiful lyrics.
- Sinner Man: Originally by Nina Simmone, remixed by Felix – The Housecat for the movie Miami Vice.
- Six Days: One of my favorite hip-hops from the movie Tokyo Drift. Though I doubt if the number of days go beyond four...listen to and find out!
- Soulitude: The cry of a broken heart! I don'nt know why I keep singing it more than often.
- Ready for Love: Not really :D !
- Warflower - The Mayan Factor: Recommended by a friend just like that and it has since grown from a casual recommendation to a favorite. Thanks V!
- What I’ve Done : Linkin Park stuff from the movie Transformers. Let mercy come...and wash away...what I've done!
And for all the people who loved the streams and otherwise wanted to download files from esnips and other similar websites, heres how:
- Most of these sites have an embedded player. But the beauty of the trick is its simplicity.
- You need the Firefox browser with the Video DownloadHelper plugin installed.
- Now play / start the stream as you would and the Video DownloadHelper icon in the toolbar will get animated, indicating that there is media on the page that it can help download.
- Clicking on the animated icon will give a list of media on the page that it can download, your mp3 file or video etc. will be on the list. Simply select the file of your choice and the DownloadHelper will do the rest
- This also works for audio and picture galleries. It also supports video conversion Enjoy ;).
The trick works for almost all sites that host multimedia content, including eSnips, You-Tube and the non-veg tubes etc. Please do let me know if the trick does not work for you, or any of the links on this page are broken. Top Of Page
